Vehicle Communication Module (VCM) for Volvo

The most common failure in these Vehicle Communication Modules is the internal back-up battery. When it fails, the issue is not resolved by replacing the battery alone. The module must also be reprogrammed to register the new battery. In addition, the battery connector is prone to damage during removal, which can further complicate the repair.

The service options below are structured to match the stage of repair.

Service “A” should be selected if the battery has not been replaced and requires both battery replacement and programming.
Service “B” should be selected if the battery has already been replaced and the module now needs to be programmed.
Service “C” is a physical repair of the PCB/Connector and can be ordered on it’s own or can be added to either of the above services.

Service Options

Service "A" - Battery Replacement & Programming

This service replaces the battery in your VCM and programs the module to your vehicle. You will need to remove the module from your vehicle and send it to us using shipping labels which will be emailed to you after your order is processed. If the connector/PCB also needs to be repaired, option “C” can be added to this service.

Repair Service

Service "B" - Programming Only

This service will program the module to your VIN, which is required after battery replacement. You will need to remove the module from your vehicle and send it to us using shipping labels which will be emailed to you after your order is processed. If the connector/PCB also needs to be repaired, option “C” can be added to this service.

Repair Service

Service "C" - Battery Connector/PCB Repair

This is a Repair Serivce of the module’s PCB. It can be ordered seperately or added to either Serivce “A” or Service “B”.

You will need to remove the module from your vehicle and send it to us using shipping labels which will be emailed to you after your order is processed.
