Infotainment Control Module (ICM) interference diagnosis.
This test helps diagnose causes for the following symptoms:
– No Drivers Information Module display; cluster does not operate
– Climate Control Module temperature fan control is inaccurate
– Infotainment Control Module turns on initially, and then turns off
Remove the ICM and bridge CAN wires together using a paper clip at the back side of the terminal.
*Bridge white wires with white wires
* Bridge green wires with green wires
Turn the car on and check to see if the problems are fixed.
Hello: I recently purchased a 2005 Volvo xc90. The radio wasn’t working until I drove it for about 40 minutes. Then it stopped working 2 days later. The display shows High Performance Audio and I can see all setting for radio just no volume display or sound from either radio station or Cd player which is unresponsive(CD wont eject). I think the ICM is faulty and would like to send for repairs but not quite sure if this is the issue. The troubleshooting instructions above state to bridge white wire with white wire and green with green using a paper clip at the back side of terminal. I am mechanical sound but for some reason I am having a hard time picturing in my mind what I actually need to do. is there a picture as an example u can send me so I dont do the wrong thing.
thank you
